If I were Samoan...

So, if I were Samoan, I'd be hollering "CHEEEEEEE-HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"  right about now. I'd love to be a part of the Samoan rugby team, even if my best yell sounds more like a squeaking mouse being stepped on by the giant athletes of this team.

If you don't know, that's like their version of "whooo-hoooooo/yaaaay/yeah!!" or in my little world "YEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!". I like to think of it as their version of "RAWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRRR YOU DON'T WANT NONE OF THIS!"

I only have this cultural insight because my husband's family attends a church with a good Polynesian mix of folks, my sister attends a church that is very much Samoa in California, AND she hasn't quit yet on yelling CHEEEEEEE-HOOOOO in my ear every chance she gets. She yells CHEE-HOOO when her football team wins, when her basketball team wins, when her daughter accomplishes anything new, or just when she wants to see how deaf she can make her older sister.

Eh? What'd you say??

I got all "chee-hooooooo-ish" because yesterday I finally received in the mail the much awaited business liscense for my photography business. My dear husband took a picture of it and texted it to me, letting me know that yes, it's official, it's here baby!! Although I'm still in the midst of building the website, pulling  and editing photos to display, deciding on contract language, setting pricing structure, and trying  not to barf from all the anxiety/excitement, I'm still super stoked on a whole new level becuase now I can officially say that yes this is real, and yes 2012 will birth my dream of having a photography business!

Coming soon to a camera near you.....Heartbox Photography!!! (was that corn-cheesy or what?!?)

Yep, Heartbox Photography is what I named this baby. The official website, etc., are to come, so stay tuned.

Happy Friday, everyone! Say it with me...you know you want to....
